Hello, I'm Heidi. I run A Winter's Tale from my home in the Surrey Hills - just me, doing everything from choosing the products to packing your orders. After many years home educating my daughter (pictured above with me) I wanted to take that unhurried approach into my business.

I wanted to create somewhere for those who love the colder months, and for those who need a softer way through them.

I hope it feels less like a shop and more like stepping into a quiet, cosy room. Somewhere you can linger, that feels calm and welcoming.

Not made for one season but for the quieter moments in a hectic world. A place to withdraw, relax and feel at home.

Everything you find here is thoughtfully chosen, with a focus on UK based suppliers and artisans. I only choose things I'd like to have in my home, things for quiet evenings, small rituals and the everyday moments that make a house a home.

I also produce a monthly seasonal newsletter and journal, celebrating folklore dates and things to notice in nature - simple ways to mark the turning of the year.
